To join Adsense you need an already operative website. Before you join Google Adsense, first you need create a website and add contents to it. Once you have 10-15 pages on your site, go to http://adsense.google.com to apply. Before apply a Google Adsense account, be sure to check out the programme policies to make sure that your site is in compliance with the terms.

Registering for Google Adsense is very easy. After you confirm your site is in compliance with Google Adsense terms, follow this link, click on the “Sign up now” button, fill in your details and wait for your approval email. Google will do a quick review of your site just to make sure that it meets their Program Policies. You will normally receive the reply from Google within 7 days but it could be sooner. If you haven’t heard back from Google within 7 days then use their contact link to ask your application status.

Usually, as long as your site doesn’t breach any of the terms, you site should be approved. However, if something is not going well, make sure to read the polices in detail and review your site thoroughly, then send Google an email asking them why you have not been accepted into the program. They will normally respond. If your site fails one of the pre-requisites then make the necessary modifications either resubmit your application or respond to your rejection email with details of the modifications you’ve made.

Once you’ve been accepted you can put the Adsense code onto your web pages that you’d like to show the ads and start earning money every time someone clicks on the ads. If you’ve done a good job of defining the content on your web pages, the ads that show should be relevant to the content of your page, which will increase the chances of clicks by your visitors.

You can either display the ads vertically along side the page like Google does or in a banner-like formation horizontally across your pages. The placement is up to you. You can even customize the colors to match your site’s theme. Google encourage website owners to experiment with a variety of placements and ad formats. However, AdSense code may not be placed in inappropriate places such as pop-ups, emails or software.

Please remember that up to three ad units and three link units may be placed on each page. In addition, a maximum of two Google AdSense for search boxes may be placed per page. Also, a single link unit or a search box, but no other Google ads, may be placed on pages with AdSense for search results. Please also note that you are not allowed to click on your own Adsense Ads, this will result in a ban from Google.
